SAN DIEGO,
CALIFORNIA

San Diego was an amazing city. I stayed
in the downtown area in a historical hotel, The U. S. Grant.
Several of the Presidents of the United States had stayed there.
I loved the bay at San Diego. We took a cruise over to the Island
of Coronado. It had shops, a few eating places, beach area,
condos, and lots of fun things to do. The San Diego Zoo is a main
atttraction with lots of different animals. The worst thing about
San Diego was all the homeless people on the street. The weather
is so warm all year that it is a perfect place for the homeless
to stay year round.
The U. S. Grant: The year was 1910. In San Diego,
An American President was being honored with the debut of an
extraordinary new hotel. The U. S. Grand newspapers of the day
hailed it as one of the premier Grant hotels of the country. And
now, exquisitely restored, it is registered as a national
historical site.
